Each level has its own Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary institutions. The Local Government functions through Rural Local Bodies (Panchayati Raj)—District, Block, and Gram Panchayats—and Urban Local Bodies—Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats, and Cantonment Boards. Together, they form a decentralized system ensuring governance from the national to the grassroots level. |
